Pixela ("we", "us", "our") operates thepixela.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We take privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary.
1. Data We Collect
- Contact form submissions: Name, email address, budget range, project type, and message content — submitted voluntarily when you contact us.
- Analytics data (with consent): If you accept cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, session duration, and approximate location (country/city). IP addresses are anonymised.
- Server logs: Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages accessed. These are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes only.
2. Why We Collect It
- Contact form data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without explicit consent.
- Analytics data (when consented) helps us understand which content is useful and improve site performance. No personal profiles are created.
3. Cookies
We use cookies only if you give consent via the banner on your first visit. If you decline, no tracking cookies are set. The only analytics cookie used is Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which stores a randomly-generated client ID — no personally identifiable information.
You can revoke consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site (key: cookie_consent) and reloading.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. The only third party with potential access to analytics data is Google, under their own Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained in our email system for up to 12 months, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. Analytics data in GA4 is retained for 14 months per Google's default settings.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

7. Security
Our site is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted securely and stored in our email account protected by two-factor authentication. We do not store payment card data — payments are processed by third-party providers (Stripe/PayPal) subject to their own security standards.
8. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
